Sight 6: Making the Blind See

In Mark 8 Jesus makes a blind man see. But it takes a process.

First, Jesus spits on the ground and runs the man's eyes with the mud. The man says he can see but only outlines and shadows.

Next, Jesus sets his hand over the mans eyes. When Jesus removed his hand, the man is able to see things clearly and as they are.

The physical (mud in this case, think metaphorically) is a layer of sight.

But when you add a spiritual element (the hand of God)... an element to the world that urges you to recognize this is all connected and swirling together in cosmic divine energy...

Well then you get it.

You see Gods hand all around.

Because it's one thing to see, but it's a whole other thing to see.
